Photojournalism is definitely as much fun as it's cracked up to be. I got to spend time with all sorts of people during my time at the Herald and got to know the intricacies of Utah Valley and wherever else I traveled. People open up to you when you have a camera and are willing to enter and understand their world. Although I don't shoot professionally as much as I used to, I still enjoy geting out and taking pictures of what's around me. The work you see above is the best of the best from the last few years. My goal is to make pictures that tell stories and images that engage. I hope you sense a bit of that here.

Over the years I've collected images around a single theme or have gone on trips to cover an issue. These collections are about capturing in several images what a single frame cannot do. Click on "stories" above to see images of Darfur refugees, El Salvador gangs, patriotic Americans, and images of Latin America.
